Our Soldiers Block range is intended to bring the best of Australia to the table at a price that everyone can afford. The Shiraz is concentrated but not overblown, marked out by its dark fruit character, underlying spiciness and the faintest hint of mint that betrays its Central Victorian origins. The new 2006 vintage Shiraz even has a little Viognier added for greater complexity. Soldier's Block Shiraz is an attractively fruity Shiraz in a cooler-climate style, with concentrated mulberry and black pepper notes combining with elegance and structure on the finish. A really enjoyable red wine.
